Topsoil
Topsoil is the upper, outermost layer of soil, usually the top 2 to 8 inches. It has the highest concentration of organic matter and microorganisms and is where most of the Earth’s biological soil activity occurs. Plants generally concentrate their roots in and obtain most of their nutrients from this layer. If you don’t have good topsoil, even the most hardy landscape plants can’t thrive in your yard.

Sod
Sod or turf is grass and the part of the soil beneath it held together by the roots, grown and cut specifically for the establishment of lawns.

Our sod is grown grown locally on specialist farms to avoid long transport and drying out. We use the best local product we can find in a variety of grasses to best suit your landscaping needs.
